We stayed at the Melia from 12/27/08-1/3/09 and had a good time. I, like many others, was glued to the reviews before my trip and agree that there are good and bad aspects to staying at the Melia. We booked the Melia as an RCI timeshare exchange. We decided to upgrade to the Paradise suite which is on the bottom... more

Honestly - this was my first stay at an all inclusive resort. My boyfriend and I came here to get away from it all and just have a relaxing New Years . . . well, we got to the hotel at around 11:30 or 12 and we checked in - as others stated in previous review, we got hit up... more

Last year I did stay at El Cozumelo (3 stars) and I was expecting a little bit for of the Melia. Rooms: Ok, but the shower fills the restroom with water, even when you close the courtains very well. Food: Very good on the buffet, but not impressive at restaurant, Staff: People that organizes the activities are great, but the... more

I stayed at the Melia with my boyfriend, sister and a friend Dec 17th-24th. We upgraded to deluxe/ocean view rooms and they were big and clean and had giant patio doors and nice balconies that had a beautiful view of the ocean. We saw the standard rooms, they are much smaller and are mostly garden view. Breakfast buffet was definitely... more

My husband and I were looking for a nice warm place to take our first vacation with our daughter and her boyfriend. After reading the reviews on the Melia Cozumel, we booked our one week vacation and are very pleased with our decision. On arrival our Signature Representative directed us to the vans that would drive us from the airport... more

We went to Melia Cozumel the first week of December for our honeymoon. First, the pros and cons. Pros: Very relaxing, plenty of beach and chairs, clean room, friendly staff, food (tolerable), golf access. Cons: Bed (very hard), beach bars close too early, nightlife, sales pitches, internet access. When we arrived, the hotel was only at 50% capacity (which quickly... more

Just returned from Melia ... fantastic & relaxing holiday. Took advantage of the all-inclusive plan ... great deal! Varied buffet choicesfor all meals( even if you don't eat fish) ... chicken, beef, steak, spaghetti, bacon & eggs, waffles, pancakes ... A la carte restaurant was excellent (make reservations). Hotel is very clean, staff very helpful & supportive. Beach is "raked"... more

We stayed at Melia Cozumel from November 30 through December 3 for a short get-away. It was a good value for the money, but they do have some issues. We booked an M Experience room, our room was 1004. The room was huge with a balcony facing the ocean. Every morning we saw cruise ships come into port. The water... more

My husband and I did a one week time share exchange into the Melia Cozumel. It is the last hotel in the northern hotel zone - about a 15 minute drive to downtown. We stayed in the 12 story high rise which has Junior suites with ocean views. There are several other lower rise buildings with accomodations. The hotel and... more

We arrived at Melia Cozumel on November 22, 2008 and purchased the tickets with Signature Vacation, the deal was great $488 CAD +tax for an Ocean View room. Melia Cozumel is very close to the airport 10 minutes drive. There is no bus, so the taxi will drive you directly to the hotel, no additional stops and you don’t have... more
